Yaga is the fastest-growing buy & sell app for preloved fashion in South Africa and Estonia. Yaga launched a pilot in Tallinn, Estonia, and expanded to South Africa in early 2020 where it quickly became the number one choice for South Africans for selling their preloved fashion items online. In 2022, we also launched in Kenya. With over 800,000 monthly users and 3M items sold, we are growing each month and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon.

Our mission is to boost sustainable lifestyle by providing an online platform for selling and shopping preloved fashion. Supporting local communities by giving everyone the chance to start their online business or to find amazing items for their wardrobe. We aim to make person-to-person secondhand trading as easy and safe as possible, to change the future of shopping.

Position offered

We are looking for a Customer Happiness Specialist to join our mission-driven startup.

Your main task will be to guarantee our users’ happiness by attending to their worries and questions via e-mail and social media. You will be the first line of defence as well as a key player in building trust towards the company. Being part of a startup also comes with various opportunities to help solve intriguing challenges on a company level and work closely together with experts from different departments. We are looking for a person who loves interacting with people, is not afraid to solve complex cases, and is ready to take the satisfaction of Yaga users to a new level.

Responsibilities

  • Solve problems and answer questions from our users via email and social media

  • Gather feedback for the product team to improve the site and prevent problems/questions from recurring

  • Help to renew and improve the knowledge base, so the users can easily find answers to their questions themselves

  • Contribute to the overall health of the site by helping users better their listings, promoting great content and removing unsuitable listings

  • Work closely together with the team to better processes, set goals and meet those goals

Requirements

  • Interest in sustainable fashion

  • Excellent communication and self-expression skills

  • English - fluent in speech and writing

  • Great at working with a team

  • Previous customer experience is a plus

  • Higher education

  • Great computer skills

  • Willingness to work full time
