sending parcels with DPD D2D delivery

New to DPD door2door service? We got you covered!

How it works:

1.     Buyer makes a purchase from your Yaga shop choosing the DPD door-to-door delivery option and pays the R89 delivery cost.

2.     You will receive a text message from DPD informing you about the pick-up, which should happen in the next 24 hours. If the pick-up time is not suitable for you, you can re-schedule it via the options given in the text message.

💡 Please note if the order is placed before 14:30 within Local or Main center areas, then the collection is actioned on the same day, and for other areas the following day.

3. Prepare the parcel in time, by packaging the item(s) properly.

4.     DPD will collect the parcel from your door and present you with a flyer bag and a parcel sticker, that relates to the collection details.

5.     The status of the order will change automatically to “Item shipped” after some time, once the DPD courier has collected the parcel from you. The tracking number will also be automatically available for both you and the Buyer under the order details, so you could keep an eye on the parcel’s journey.

DPD usually takes around 2-3 days to deliver a parcel to the Buyer.

Things to note:

  • DPD collection only takes place during business days (Mon-Fri, excluding public holidays). Hence, if the Buyer makes the purchase Friday evening or over the weekend, DPD will collect the parcel on Monday.

  • With DPD door-to-door delivery there are no parcel size limits, however the maximum weight shouldn’t exceed 10 kg.

  • In order to use this delivery method, the Seller needs to have inserted their address under Yaga’s Settings -> Contact Details or upon enabling the DPD delivery method (screen)

  • When opting for DPD delivery, then you will not be able to see the Buyer’s delivery address, nor will the Buyer see your collection address. This information is only available to DPD.
