Over the past year, our platform has welcomed over a million users! Due to rising costs all around us and our growing infrastructure needs, we need to make some adjustments

 
 
 
 

As of 1 June 2025, the new Buyer Protection Fee will be 6,5% of the full price + R19,90.

To date, we have absorbed these rising costs without passing them on. Unlike traditional retailers, which have significant hidden markups of up to 150%, we remain committed to transparency. The adjustment of under 10% accounts for rising operational costs and ensures we prioritise safety and convenience through offering features like:

  • secure payments

  • fraud protection

  • fast refunds

  • technical support

  • customer support

  • securely hosting huge amounts of images and data

  • We continually monitor the monthly figures, and since the introduction of the Buyer Protection fee, we have seen overwhelmingly positive growth.

    In 2024, we experienced a 42% rise in items sold and an 82% increase in the amount that was paid out directly to our sellers' pockets. This shows that trust and safety matter to buyers, and they’re willing to pay for a secure, smooth experience

  • The Buyer Protection fee allows you all the convenience and safety of a big retailer, without the risks of person-to-person trading. You get peace of mind, but still support your community, whether it’s a small business or someone earning extra from their closet.

    This also means that you'll be able to order the package to your nearest location, pay with your preferred secure payment method and have access to fast refunds when needed.

  • Our priority, first and foremost, remains to provide a platform where everybody can safely earn extra income amidst the rising global costs. While we're growing fast, the reality is that we don't yet fully cover our operational costs. This update is necessary to keep up with demand, maintain quality, and ensure the platform is sustainable in the long term.
