using PAXI for selling & buying

Sending your Yaga parcel is now cheaper and easier thanks to our latest delivery integration with PAXI 🤝

We’ve got great news for both our sellers & buyers! Getting your Yaga purchases delivered with PAXI is now just R49 for standard bags (R59.95) and R60 for large bags (R109.95).

Plus, the sellers don't need to pay for a bag upfront anymore as money moves directly from the buyer to Paxi thanks to Yaga. All you need to do is take your phone and the purchased item to the nearest PAXI sending point.

NB!

The Seller's phone number needs to be added on Yaga to be able to use the integration

NB! The Seller's phone number needs to be added on Yaga to be able to use the integration

You can add your phone number under Settings on the Yaga app. It won’t be visible to others.

How it works:

1. Find a PAXI point to drop off the item

Find your nearest PAXI point from PAXI website to drop off the item.

NB! Shoe City and Tekkie Town are unfortunately currently disabled from the list of PAXI points to ship out the order from. Orders can only be collected from these points for now.

2. Show your bag voucher to get a grey PAXI bag

Show your PAXI bag voucher to receive a grey or white (!) token bag for your items. You can find the barcodes under your “order details screen” in the Yaga platform. Simply tap menu -> my shop -> orders -> details. You don’t have to pay for the bag, as the cost has been covered by the buyer.

3. Let PAXI scan the token barcode

The token barcode can also be found on the “order details screen”. It includes the buyer's delivery information and needs to be scanned by the salesperson to book the parcel.

4. Confirm your name & contact details

Bring along your ID card or passport, as PAXI is required to ask for the identification and contact details of the person making the drop. If they also would like to confirm the Buyer’s details, simply refer to your order confirmation email for the relevant info.

5. Receive a confirmation SMS

Once the order has been processed, you and the Buyer will each receive a confirmation SMS from PAXI with the tracking details. There is no need to tap “item shipped” anymore, the Buyer’s “my purchases” detail screen will be automatically updated with the tracking number as well.

6. Receive your funds

Once the parcel has arrived at its destination, the Buyer will receive a SMS from PAXI to collect it. Once the Buyer has collected the parcel, they will have to tap “item received” on Yaga to release the funds to your Yaga wallet.

FAQs

  • The vouchers don’t have an expiry date.

  • You can upgrade the sleeve size at the PAXI counter, however, the prepopulated token and bag voucher on the Yaga app, only works for the specific size selected originally.

Upgrading from a standard to a large bag will mean you will have to pay for the new shipping and the bigger bag yourself.

Once the buyer has received their order and tapped the “item received” button, the initial R49 that the Buyer paid for a standard bag, will be released to your Yaga wallet.

  • Currently you will be able to find the Buyer’s emails in your order confirmation email.

  • As with all changes, there can be a few teething problems at the start. Not to worry, simply advise that you have a voucher for a grey token bag that is usually used for returns.

  • This means that the Seller hasn’t added their phone number on Yaga, which is a prerequisite to using PAXI with the integration which brings lower prices. Kindly message the Seller and ask them to add their number under Settings to enable the integration for their store.
